he topics we choose for this session are both closely related to the daily life of average high school students, and controversial to some extent. By focusing on these topics, we hope we could derive your attention to these topics and see the full extension of them, so that you would better appreciate you current surroundings and develop holistic perspectives towards them.

Note: You should prepare for all four topics as well as both sides of each topic, since you will be randomly assigned to any topic for your speech. The same goes for your debate preparation. Bear in mind while doing the research that you have to gain as much information of the topics as possible, and as diverse aspects of the topics as possible.
 
注意：由于复赛时采取抽签选择演讲题目，及随机抽签决定辩论正反方的形式，请同学们在准备过程中务必全面地研究四个议题及它们的正反面。请牢记，在调研过程中需要尽量全面系统地收集话题相关信息，尽量多面多角度剖析问题和寻求解决方案。

同侪压力（来自同龄人的压力，多表现为同龄人多在做的事，自己也会感觉到有压力要去做）对个人来说是有害的还是有益的？

演讲题目：同侪压力对个人来说是有益/有害的。

2. Are security cameras an invasion of our privacy? 监控设备是否损害了个人隐私？
Speech: security cameras is/ isn’t an invasion of our privacy.
演讲题目： 监控设备（没有）损害个人的隐私。
Debate: Are security cameras an invasion of our privacy?
辩论题目：监控设备是否侵犯了个人隐私。
 
3. Foreign Language should not be mandatory. 学习外语不应该成为中学生必修课程
Speech: Foreign Language should/ shouldn’t be mandatory.
演讲题目： 学习外语（不）应该成为中学生必修课程。
Debate: should foreign language be mandatory in high school education?
辩论题目： 外语学习应该成为中学必修课程吗？
4. PE should be required of all students throughout high school. 所有学生在中学6年期间都应该参加体育课。
演讲题目： （并非）所有学生都应该在中学六年期间参加体育课。
