Attending the 52nd North American Model United Nations at Georgetown University in Washington D.C. was a very valuable way to spend this past winter holiday. We went to New York City, Boston, and Washington D.C. We visited famous places of interest such as The Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, and Times Square. We visited Yale University even thoughit was a pity we couldn’t go to Harvard and M.I.T. because of a severe winter storm. Still, Yale University made an unforgettable impression on me. My favorite part of the trip were the museums in Washington. It was quite amazing to have famous museums on both sides of me as I walked down the street. These creative treasure literally surrounded me on all sides as I strolled along the Mall. I remember the Smithsonian and National Gallery as well as the friendly and helpful museum staff who helped us make the most of our limited time at these incredible collections. After relaxing for a bit, we attended NAIMUN at the Hilton in Georgetown. During the competition, we had to get up before 8 and never were able to get to sleep before midnight. The MUN wasn’t all work, we also had fun attending the dance and party held by the organizing committee. In general, the trip was tiring and thrilling; educational, inspirational, and unforgettable.
